Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 - Outlook Client upgrade

Test upgrade of an exisiting CRM3.0 outlook client to CRM4.0 client connecting to the new CRM4 server.
I tested this on a fairly standard staff PC.
Install the client ~ 10mins
I just used the CRM CD for this test and had admin rights on the desktop. Point to crm4
Install went ok - probably took around 10 mins
Run config Wizard ~ 15mins
A configuration wizard is installed on the desktop. Ran it and completed without error.
Run diagnostics ~ 10mins
All ok apart from a warning about network connectivity. Need to look at our switch configuration and should look at traffic on the LAN for any problems.
Test Outlook ~ 10mins
Opened but very slow. CPU maxed out with engineserver.exe hitting 100%. Engineserver.exe appears to be a McAfee component. need to do some research. Killed offending service and restarted outlook - much healthier.
Further observations
- Need to set format in personalise workspace manually to UK
- Mail Merge with standard entities appears to work with basic fields - activity recorded too. Need to look at custom entities and standard letters.
- Need to review permissions for standard users - can now create workflows and see duplicate detection.
Follow up needed
Some further research and testing of above
